What this tool does
Each page of your PDF is redrawn at the resolution you pick and saved as its own image file. When there is more than one page, everything comes back in a single ZIP so you get one download instead of forty.
This is what you need when a page has to go into a slide deck, a social post, or a form that only accepts images.
How to convert a PDF to images
- Add your PDF file.
- Choose JPG for smaller files or PNG if you need lossless quality or later editing.
- Pick a resolution. Standard is right for most uses; choose Print only if the image will be printed.
- Press Convert to images and save the file or ZIP.
JPG or PNG?
| Format | Best for | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| JPG | Scans, photos, sharing | Slight quality loss, much smaller |
| PNG | Text, diagrams, editing later | Perfect quality, larger files |
Good to know
- Text becomes part of the image, so it is no longer selectable — that is inherent to converting a page into a picture.
- 300 dpi on a long document produces very large files; convert only the pages you need by splitting first.
- The work happens on your device, so a 100-page document at print resolution will take a while on a phone.
Common questions
Can I convert only one page?
Yes — use the Split PDF tool first to extract that page, then convert it.
Which resolution should I choose?
Standard for anything read on a screen. Print resolution only when the image goes onto paper, because the files get four times larger.
Why do I get a ZIP?
Because a multi-page PDF produces one image per page. A one-page PDF gives you a single image with no ZIP.
Is the image quality reduced?
PNG is lossless. JPG uses light compression at 90% quality, which is visually indistinguishable for most documents.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser.
