What this tool does
Merging takes the pages of every file you add and copies them, in order, into one new PDF. Bookmarks and page sizes from the originals are preserved, and the original files on your device are left untouched.
It is the fastest way to turn a pile of scanned pages, invoices or chapters into one document that is easy to send and easy to print.
How to merge PDFs
- Drop two or more PDF files onto the box above, or tap it to browse your device.
- Use the arrows next to each file to set the order. The first file in the list becomes the first pages of the result.
- Remove anything you added by mistake with the ✕ button.
- Press Merge PDFs and save the file that appears.
Good to know
- There is no limit on the number of files, but very large documents are limited by your device's memory.
- The order in the list is the order in the final file — check it before you merge.
- Form fields and digital signatures may not survive merging; that is a limitation of the PDF format itself, not of this tool.
- If a file is password-protected, unlock it in your PDF reader and save an unprotected copy first.
Common questions
How many PDFs can I merge at once?
As many as your device can hold in memory. Ten average documents is nothing; fifty scanned books at once may be too much for a phone.
Will the quality drop?
No. Merging copies pages as they are — nothing is re-encoded or compressed.
Can I merge a Word file or an image?
Not here. Convert images with the Images to PDF tool first, then merge the result.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The merge runs in your browser, so the documents stay on your device.
Can I reorder pages inside one file?
Not directly. Split the file into pieces first, then merge the pieces in the order you want.
