About this site

A small set of PDF tools built on one idea: the file should stay on your device.

What this is

QuickPDFTooles is a free set of browser-based PDF utilities: merge, split, compress, and images to PDF. There is no account, no trial, and no watermark on anything you download.

How it works

When you open a tool, your browser downloads a small PDF library and runs it locally. Your document is read from your disk into the browser's memory, changed there, and written back out as a download. No copy is sent to a server, because there is no server doing the work.

One practical side effect: once a tool page has loaded, it keeps working even if you lose your connection.

Why it exists

Most free PDF sites are upload-based. That is fine for a holiday brochure and uncomfortable for a payslip, a medical form or a copy of your ID. This site removes the question entirely — there is nothing to trust with your file, because the file never moves.

How it is paid for

The site is funded by advertising displayed around the tools. Ads never see the contents of your documents; nothing about your files is readable by anyone, including us.

Limits, honestly

  • Everything runs on your device, so very large files are limited by your memory — phones give up sooner than laptops.
  • Compression turns pages into images, which removes selectable text.
  • Encrypted PDFs must be unlocked in a PDF reader before they can be processed here.
